Anonymous asked: Im getting ready to apply for college and I plan on majoring in biology. I want to be a zoologist, but I'm not too interested in research. What others jobs are available in this field?

There are an innumerable amount of jobs you might do with a degree in biology or zoology; finding one that doesn’t involve technical research just takes a little bit of creative thinking!  Are you interested in teaching?  Many historical societies and natural history centers employ zoologists to educate about native species.  What about working with live animals?  There are many opportunities to work in zoos, sanctuaries, and wildlife reserves that need zoologists to understand animal behaviors, habitats, etc.  If you’re interested in the law aspect of it, you can become a game warden and hunt down poachers!  The biological sciences don’t have to exclusively be about boring statistical research!
